These Impalas are terrible with traction control sensors, bearing , cables etc going off and disabling the car and putting you in a dangerous situation and it cuts power off. You need to Google this. Should have a recall for this. You will find this an issue with hundred if not thousand in the forums about this terrible design or whatever, GM is just terrible, no wonder they needed a government bailout. Buy a Toyota, or Nissan. I spent enough money with this car and it still not fixed.

Oh and the click click click under the the dash... what a mess GM makes.

Our 2010 Chevy Impala shakes and vibrates violently when we apply the brakes going downhill. This has occurred since we purchased the car. We reported the problem to the dealer, Galles Chevrolet in Albuquerque, when I took it in to be serviced at 3,000 miles. The service man said he drove it and he did not notice any shaking but he did not drive downhill. For whatever reason we also ended having to buy new front tires before it was time. To date the back tires tires are still like new since the mileage on this car is only 35,997. The reason that we hardly use the car is because we are afraid to have an accident. Every time we drive we have to drive downhill because we live at a rural mountain area. Luckily we still have our old car and truck which we use instead. We do not know what to do since the car is still new and we feel we should have purchased a reliable vehicle. I suppose this vehicle is going to cost us a lot more than we anticipated, that is if the service people can find what the problem is. Any suggestions?

My car has been a pain in the ass since I got it. I had a friend check my car the dash lights kept flashing, stabilitrack, traction control, abs light etc. The computer said it was the left wheel bearing, had that replaced, the whole harness...next day, same thing happened. Took it to Lannan Chevrolet in Woburn, Mass for a recall problem and mentioned that, they hooked it up and said right wheel bearing....wanted $1000 to repair. See ya! So I had it done by friend that have worked on my car for years, replaced the right bearing...two weeks later, exact same symptoms, what the hell is wrong now, it clearly stated on the computer that cost me $160 that it was the right wheel bearing. Help!
