problem #1

Impala V6

There was no sign that the car needed coolant. I took it to the dealership and they said $350 just to look at it and the young lady went on to tell me what would happen next. She said the lights will start dimming and the engine will start stalling while you are driving. She knew that the car just needed coolant. Why couldn't she just tell me that. I wasn't leaving my car and paying $350 to look at it. I asked a mechanic I know and he said check your coolant when I told him I had no heat. The engine stalling while I was driving probably caused the transmission problem I had a few months later. Why would Chevy use the engine stalling as a signal that you need coolant. The car told me when it needed everything else, air in the tires, oil, gas. The car needs a coolant message.
