problem #2

Jan 012019

Impala

  • Automatic transmission
  • 76,000 miles

Started off abs and traction control lights would light up when making a tight left turn (such as a u-turn), then a beeping would accompany the lights, again only with tight left turns; then add the grinding noise and stalling to that but now with any left turns. Today I drove it and all the brake/traction lights were flashing constantly as well as the beeping, not even turning. Also, brakes are not engaging properly; so far they stop the car but sometimes it jumps as if it might lose brakes. I cannot drive this car any longer, these brakes arte going to fail!

Impala LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I own a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LT purchased used from the dealer with 41,000 miles. The car was part of a fleet. The electronic stability, traction control, and check brakes warning indicators flashed randomly every day.

I had an independent mechanic replace two hub assemblies because there was a crunching noise when I turned left or right. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000. GM is aware of this problem and should recall these vehicles immediately.

I purchased this car to replace a 1998 Chevy Lumina that is still running perfectly as of this review, but I see my loyalty to Chevrolet is misguided.
