Impala LTZ V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,162 miles

So about a week ago my car would't start. So I had the tow truck come down a he restarted my car. He connected his cables to my car. and it started with no problem. I loaded my baby into the car and off we went. I go to our doctors office and it happened again. So a man with some of the same jumper cables helped me restart the car again. Afraid that this would happen to us again, I took my car to the auto shop to have the battery tested. The young man came out and tested the battery and said its in great condition. I get in my car and to my surprise the car starts with out a jump. That was on a friday. So on sunday it started to act up again. This time i turned the key and it will start like its going to turnover but does'nt I turned the key again this time continusly turning and it turns over, this time the dash is showing an message stabilitrack off and traction control off. Then it goes away. I have been having this issue for a week now excluding the whole jump thing if i include that its been a little over two weeks. I really dont know what to do. can anyone help me. Im a single mother and really cant afford to go up and down different roads trying to figure out the problem

Impala LT 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,300 miles

So, I've had this problem with my Impala when I am making left-handed turns. Its a grinding noise and the ABS light, Traction Control, and Stabilitrak lights would illuminate. Finally, got them to set off while at the dealer... they diagnosed it to be the wheel bearing/speed sensor..... I ordered the part off of Ebay for $40 (ended up getting two for that price) and paid $150 to have it fixed. It worked.... and now I just drive without the traction on because that system and sensor are VERY sensitive to city driving.

Impala LS 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I have a 2013 Chevy Impala LS with 60,000 miles on it. The problem I have is when turning left the stabilitrak, anti lock brake lights come on along with a grinding noise and power loss. This could be a potentially dangerous issue I believe and also when just driving sometimes the Stabilitrak light comes on and says " service stabilitrak" or initializing stabilitrak.

I have taken the car in and of course nothing was found and appears to be working properly. I have multiple videos of the issues that were taken with my cell phone to document the issue in case I have an accident because of this problem. It appears to me that many others have had the same problems and complaints with nobody wanting to resolve the problem. Why does it take a potentially dangerous situation to occur or even multiple deaths to fix problems ? Based on the multiple complaints and lack of recalls to address issues my next vehicle won't be a GM product.

Impala LS 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

going out to eat, traction control warning message came on, after turning left at light, came to another light and stopped, when light changed car would not go forward, after about 20 seconds, car began to move and finally started to run correctly. came to another light and the same thing happened. got to restaurant and when I came out and cranked car, check engine warning still there but car ran ok until I got home. I purchased from hertz car sales, looked in drivers manual and everything I looked up had the page creased, so someone else had rented car and had same problem. I had also rented an 2013 impala, last year and had the same message while on vacation(not the same car) what can be done about this?
