Had auto for repair at my local dealership where I purchased vehicle. It was supposed to be fixed under warranty. My truck is leaking again and I was told it's not the same problem and it's going to cost $245.00 to take a part to determine the problem. It was never fixed - it's still leaking.

The car is just 5 year old, but apparently it is leaking like a sieve. I just took the car into the dealership to find out why I was seeing water on the inside of my windshield. I just got the results from the service group. The car has been leaking water into the passenger side and most notably the trunk. There is mold in the trunk that will require correcting. The price to fix all the leaks is $1379.00, none of which was covered by the extended warranty that I purchased. I am a retired female senior citizen. This is an outrageous amount of money to have to put into a car that has less than 30,000 miles on it. This web site included others with the same complaint. GM needs to fix this. I have been a loyal GM customer for over 30 years, but this is making me question my loyalty.

Every season I empty a gallon or more of water from the spare tire compartment.

During the winter, I make sure that ALL of the snow is removed from the trunk and rear window surfaces, so that NO snow will/can enter the trunk; how the heck does this continue to happen? I have a $30.000 + car purchased from GM and items like this go unannounced. What is wrong with GM?

I have owned Impala cars since 2005 and I have had continuous problems with the dealerships' attitudes when approached with issues ranging from: - traction control issues that destroyed the transmission - faulty instrument panel, that caused the speedometer and gauge cluster to malfunction - transmission lock up while driving down the highway, very scary - leaky trunk causing water accumulation issues in the spare tire area.

Come on GM, get with the program. GM used to make quality vehicles; however I don't think so now, just junk like the other many vehicles made from off shore crap.

Doing some spring cleaning and lifted the floor in the trunk to find my spare tire swimming in water. Googled the problem and found it was common. Ordered replacement taillight seals. Repair took approximately an hour and requires removal of the bumper cover. There are several torc screws and a hex screw in each wheel well and some plastic body panel pins underneath. Mind the electrical cables for the sensors in the bumper when removing the cover. All in all, not a difficult repair. Just annoying. Will probably have to do it again in a few years because I doubt the seals will hold up.

This is not an isolated issue. Many Impala owners are experiencing the same problem. GM needs to address this and help out their consumers or loose them. It is irresponsible for GM to expect owners to get this fix on their nickel.

We had been having issues with mold in the trunk. We had had the recall taken care of where the water runs into trunk when the trunk is open and it is raining. Husband went out to shampoo and clean the trunk and found over 2 inches of standing water in the wheel well of the trunk.

The last couple of months i have been seeing moisture on the glass inside the car , which to me indicate some form of a leak. But i never looked in the trunk until today. I pulled up the mat where the spare tire is located and guest what about 5" of water. I took some picture and cleaned up the mess and called the dealership. They called me back and requested that i bring it in Tuesday. I asked if this is a problem they said that there was a problem with the tail lights leaking at one time. so we will see what they do to correct the problem. i also found a video on you tube with same problem and it was corrected

I THOUGHT WHEN LEASING A VEHICLE IT CAN BE REPLACED WHEN CAR COMES FROM THE FACTORY ALREADY DAMAGED? THEY GAVE ME A LOANER 2 YEARS OLD. BUT I AM PAYING FOR A LEASE ON A 2014. NOT RIGHT. CAR WAS ALREADY DAMAGED.

Well I haven't used the trunk that much since I got the car, but on 12/3/2014 I was pulled over by local police and issued a warning for right rear light not functioning. Yep new car has a significant water leak in the right rear of the trunk which has caused the bulb connection to corrode and blow out the bulb. I called the dealer and have an app. 1/7/2015 to investigate. I hope they fix it, I really like this car.

Update from Jan 30, 2015: Fixed on 1/7/2015 ,dealer installed updated tail lite housing and gasket assembly and replaced the left rear also just as a precaution! fixed the leak!

I bought my car in May 2013 right before my wedding, I have really enjoyed it up to now. Three separate visits to the dealer I bought it from Sport Chevrolet, and they still can't fix the moldy smell in the car. The trunk always has water in it, even a week after it's rained, and the mildew they tell me is creeping into the back seats of the car! My wife is allergic to mold so you can imagine the problems.

Since 2 months ago I have been driving the dealer's loaner - Equinox, and they have no solution for my car. I have to call them every week just to be told they are getting specialist from GM to come look at it. I have asked repeatedly to have the car taken back and they are refusing to without me paying $ 5,900.00 as a penalty to get out of the lease!!!! It is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have filed a claim with my insurance company and hope they can replace the car as soon as possible.
