I was driving on a residential street, going no more than 25 mph with my two two year olds in their car seats behind me. Suddenly and simultaneously, all four of the side airbags deployed (front and back), knocking my girls seats together, the front right side of the car dropped down and started grinding on the wheel. I was able to pull off to the side of the road thankfully. I turned the car off, and when I got out to look at the front, the car door shut, and for the first time, automatically locked me out, my kids inside, with its own key and my purse as well.

When driving, loss of power steering, ABS, stabilitrack. This is a huge safety problem. This issue does not matter on road conditions. It happens whenever. The ring on the back of the wheel bearing gets weather elements behind it (mostly talking about water in the winter then freezes). This cause the ring to break. Once this ring is broke. I am assuming the ABS cant keep track of the vehicle's motion. It then throws the codes. To tell do a visible inspection looking for the ring to be compromised. Don't worry your wheel bearing might not be bad. You just have to go to Chevy and spend 190$ on a new wheel bearing.

A few problems. Wheel bearing senors go bad effecting power steering and stability control. Replaced 3 wheel bearing on different wheels in past 12 months. Also 20" rims with low pro tires are a problem. Had 2 plow outs in past 6 months when hitting pot holes and damaged 3 rims. Very costly to buy rims at $650 a piece and tires at $230 each. A safety problem not knowing if you will have a tire plow out because of a rough road or pot hole in the road. I have been driving 54 years and never had a problem like this before. Car was in motion with wheel bearing problem and tire and rim problem. At different times I was driving on city streets and highway. This problem happen at different times but most recent 5/5/19

When making turns, left turns especially, the car hesitates and makes a grinding noise. It feels like it loses power, and will not move, which is very scary and dangerous in the middle of rush hour traffic in a busy city. Sometimes the stabilyzer and/or traction control lights come one during these episodes. This is the 3rd time I have had to have my car serviced for the exact same problem. I am a single divorced [xxx] woman, I do not have the time away from work or the money to continue to spend on repairs that I have no choice or control over. Please recall this problem. I have read hundreds of complaints about the same thing online when I researched my problem. Recall !!! or do we have to get killed before you the manufacturer does that? parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

At 29K the right rear wheel bearing became defective and needed replacement. This should not happen at such low mileage. Yes this vehicle is exposed to nys winters but the car is garaged and well maintained. The rear of the knuckle is wide open to the elements exposing the hub bearing to the elements and this is an easy fix simply by creating a cap on the back side of the knuckle eliminating debris exposure. It is my opinion that the part was simply defective based on several newer similar GM vehicles having the same problems.

Routine rotation of tires at pepboys after alignment revealed radial pull in all 4 tires. Pepboys sent me to Goodyear service stores, girvin rd. Jax fl.. they depth gauged all 4 tires at 25% and stated "the Eagle LS2 tires installed on new cars are not of the same quality that are sold in the Goodyear stores, ie inferior.I filed complaint to Goodyear and they sent me to Goodyear stores atlantic blvd jax, fl. Where they confirmed all4 tires had radial pull, ( causes vehicle to pull to the curb) and they could not correct with alignment. They offered to replace the tires with the same Eagle LS2 for $490.34, an outrageous price since the tires were defective. Mgmt. At this store also stated the tires on the car are not the same quality that they sell, and this is outright fraud on the public since there are no marks on the tires indicating seconds or of lesser quality then store tires of same size and make. Gordon chev service mgr. Also spoke to agoodyear high level mgmt person and she to confirmed Goodyear tires sold to GM, walmart, sears, and other outlets are not of the same quality as the same tire sold in the Goodyear store. This is fraud on the public and needs to be addressed post haste. Please help as a serious accident will surely happen when thes defective tires cause my vehicle to drift off road into the culvert. The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. While at a stop and attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate and attempted to stall. In addition, all the warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wheel hub sensor and an unknown wheel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

I can deal with the poor visibility headlamps, the front camera that keeps flagging "service front camera" and camera false alarms but the huge 19 inch wheels and tires with hardly any sidewall to absorb rough roads are a recipe for disaster and dangerous. I live in the northeast and it is loaded with pot holes after one of the worst winters in history but when I hit one yesterday on a highway the tire blew causing a very dangerous situation. I am positive my older Impala's with smaller wheels would easily have handled this pot hole with no damage. I fail to see the need for giant wheels and tires with hardly any sidewalls to absorb rough roads. This is my third recent brand new Impala, first with the new design and I am disappointed.

The GM factory installed 20" wheels rub on the wheel wells when cornering. Impacts steering and could wear tires. The clearence should be measured + investigated on 2014 Impala vehicles with the 20" premium wheels installed.

While traveling at highway speed in light blowing snow, vehicle began to vibrate. Vibration was extreme and constant. After contacting two Chevrolet dealerships we were advised it was a common problem with snow building up on rims. We were advised to power wash the inside of the rims. This was done and the problem was fixed. During the approximate 800 mile trip in and out of snow this had to be done twice. Chevrolet was contacted and we were advised there was nothing they could do. The vibration becomes violent enough that highway speeds are not obtainable and the vehicle is hard to control. This forced us to travel below the posted minimum freeway speed until an exit with a power wash available.
