Malibu 3.1L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,603 miles

RECEIVED LETTER FROM GM STATING THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM AND TO COME IN AND HAVE FIXED AT NO COST BUT ONLY IF THE PROBLEM EXISTED THIS WAS NOT A RECALL. 2 YEARS LATER SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN THERE WAS A CLICKING SOUND AFTER SIGNALS TURNED OFF COMING FROM HAZARD SWITCH. HAD MY MECHANIC AT MY SHOP CHANGE HAZARD SWITCH AGAIN TURNED OUT THIS WAS NOT THE PROBLEM THIS TIME AS I HAD TO REPLACE THE COMPLETE ARM ASSEMBLY ON THE STEERING COLUMN COST WAS ABOUT $225.00 FOR THE THE PART AND $90 FOR 1 HOUR LABOR FOR A JOB THAT MY MECHANIC AT MY SHOP WOULD HAVE CHARGED ME FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES WORK. LAST TIME TO BUY GM PRODUCT IF THEIR PROBLEMS FIXITS LAST LESS THAN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AND NEW REPAIRS ARE THAT EXPENSIVE
