Malibu 3.1L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

The passenger (drivers side) window started sticking when rolled down so we don't roll it down anymore.

The drivers window fell inside the door so I took it to the shop. The coil spring had broke in half resulting in the window falling off the track. The mechanic told me the part is a dealers item only and that I had to buy the whole kit with the motor and everything and that Chevy would not just sell the coiled spring. The cost of the window kit is $500.00 plus tx and labor that would be nearly $600.00 total to fix.

I did not have the funds to fix all of this so I got away with only $80.00 for labor and had them put the window on the track and unplug the auto button so the window will stay up and in place. Therefor if it is 100 outside and I can't run my air conditioner because my car sounds like it is goig to blow up when I do...I just have to sweat it out and pray my children and I don't get over heated on our way to were ever we are going. Thank you Chevy for such a poor choice of manufacturing your vehicles.

As it stands right now with all the things wrong with my 2002 Chevy Malibu I need nearly $2000.00 dollars worth of work done on a car that I still owe nearly $5000.00.

I will never buy another Chevy - EVER! I think Chevy should replace or pay for all the damages caused by the manufacturing defects of all their vehicles.
