problem #2

Malibu LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 92,000 miles

While driving between 35-55 MPH the transmission slips hard and sometimes during shifting makes a loud noise and is loud enough to make me look around to see if something fell off. I have taken it to the dealer twice and the dealer cannot find anything wrong. I had the dealer change the transmission fluid and filter but still have the same issue. At one point while going to work, the transmission went into neutral.

Malibu V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

I honestly just don't get this car at all...Its 5 years old and under 100k so why does my transmission slip when i accelerate? Why must my needle on my tack surpass 7 and go straight down? If you own a Chevy Malibu or thinking about purchasing one get one with 20k on it and sell it before it hits 80k because that's when all my problems started...This car has been nothing but a headache...If you are looking to buy a used car STRONGLY suggest a used Altima or even Accord...Don't go American
