I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW, IT HAD 13 MILES ON IT. THE DASHBOARD IS SHOWS TRACTION IS OFF, BRAKE FLUID AND OF COURSE THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND OF COURSE HAD TO LEAVE IT AND GET A RENTAL. THEY CALLED ME THE NEXT MORNING AT 7 AM AND SAID THAT I NEEDED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND IT WOULD COST $800.00. I TOLD THEM I COULD NOT AFFORD AT THE MOMENT THAT AMOUNT AND TO JUST CHANGE THE OIL ADD BRAKE FLUID. SAID THEY COULD NOT ADD BRAKE FLUID UNLESS THEY PUT IN NEW MASTER CYLINDER. I WAS OUT THE COST OF THE CAR RENTAL AND STILL DID NOT HAVE A FIX FOR MY PROBLEM. I HAVE SINCE RESEARCHED THE COST OF A NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND FOUND THAT THE MOST IT SHOULD COST FOR REPLACEMENT IS $300 WHICH INCLUDES LABOR. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND FEEL LIKE I AM REBUILDING FROM SCRATCH. I BELIEVE THE USE OF INFERIOR PARTS IS THE CAUSE OF THE RECALL LETTERS (4 SO FAR) AND OTHER PROBLEMS. CHEVROLET WENT INTO BANKRUPTCY IN 2009 AND I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2008.
