the brake light stay on when I'm not touching the pedal, making it look like I'm riding the brakes, when I press the brake pedal the lights do not come on until the pedal is depressed to the floor. my mechanic suggests changing the brake pedal switch, but other people I've talked to with a 2007 Malibu had the same problem, and took the same course of action reoccurring.
