Malibu LT 2.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

I went to the dealer complaining of the transmission slipping several times. They kept telling me nothing is wrong. Well now I have had problems since then, first the slipping, then it got worse. It started hesitating so I took it to a mechanic and had a tune up, thinking it was that. Still didn't solve the problem. Took it to Earl Brothers. They said they scanned it, took it for a ride and all they could see was the axle leaking in the front. Had that fixed. The problem just got worse. The slipping of the transmission off and on which caused the issues that I am now having.

The problem was within the warranty but the Ed Schmidt's Chevrolet mechanics are not knowledgeable about transmissions or else they would have discovered the problem. Now I am just finding out now that there was a recall that I was not aware of. This just pisses me off. When you buy a warranty and they won't take care of the issues in the warranty. Now I don't know what to do. I am retired and I cannot afford these types of expenses when I have paid for a warranty and couldn't even use. I am furious. I want GM to pay for my transmission!

Malibu LTZ 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

My VIN wasn't listed on the RECALL is therefore I'm screwed. It started with the recall problem with the PARK problem then reverse now the TRANSMISSION problem. The engine light didn't even come on until I pulled in my driveway. Isn't DRIVE TRAIN under 100,000 miles warranty? If not I will be buying only cars that are.
