Malibu LTZ 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,025 miles

My 2008 Malibu has begun to have transmission issues. Hard shifting into 4th and 5th gear and then all of a sudden engine began revving but car hardly moving. Had to have car towed to Chevy dealer who now says I have a broken wave plate inside the transmission and cost will be in $ 3000+ range to repair. Dealer claims not able to use Special Coverage Program since vehicle beyond 10+ years by ONE year.

Thank you General Motors for standing by your vehicles. I will never ever buy another gm vehicle or have family members do so either. This is a repair that gm should deal with regardless of time on said vehicle. Poor customer satisfaction is all GM buys by this short sightedness.

Malibu LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Every time I try to switch gears the transmission jerks and the engine reduce powered lights comes on. The car starts shaking and sounding like a truck. I have to park the car and let it sit for awhile hoping it will start back normal. This been happening since the day I got the car November 16, 2013 at Kia Legend in San Antonio, TX. I brought the car back 2 days after I bought it and they told me it's an "as is" car, never tried to fix it. I will be filing a suit because they knew they sold me a lemon and never tried to help.
