The engine light will go on and off with the code remaining the same. I need to take it into the shop to verify that it is the sensor.

Malibu LS 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,000 miles

Check engine light with P0013 code on scan tool is an exhaust camshaft sensor failure. The problem occurs so frequently that multiple web sites had instructions to replace the sensor! Took about an hour (self repaired) and the sensor was $50.
