Monte Carlo LS 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 165,000 miles

The vehicle has had to be repaired 3 times for the same problem. That means 3 times this repair was paid for out of pocket.

I come online today because the problem is continuing despite having the intake manifold replaced 3 times to discover there was a recall from 2009 for this exact issue for this vehicle but the vin was not included. So despite the fact that the vehicle has encountered the exact issue for the exact same type of vehicle that a recall was issued for and affected roughly 1.5 million people (avg recalls for this vehicle impacts less than 1,000), the costs will not be reimbursed by GM nor will the vehicle be added to the list of recalls.

That has got to be the biggest crock of crap there is and definitely is not a way to treat customers loyal to the brand who spend thousands and thousands on your vehicle. Guess which brand I will never buy from again?

we bought the car from my mom, she said it was a good car and it was for about a year, the car had only 48000 miles on it when the intake manifold gasket started leaking antifreeze .luckily i was on vacation when it went south, its got a ton of road noise to go along with it, my wife likes it so she can drive it!

Why would you put antifreeze in a vehicle that corrodes the gaskets? Come on GM...
