Monte Carlo LS

The check engine light came on 3 days after I bought it. I was concerned cause the vehicle seems to "fight" me when I accelerate over 50 mph on hills. I took it to the dealer, and 20 minutes later they told me their computer came up with "Random Cylinder Misfire." Its just plugs and wires they said. So I hope this is it for a while.

Monte Carlo LX

codes 1107, 1404, and egg smell at high acceleration. replaced EGR valve, and both O2 sensors. still has check engine light on. Engine also idles with a little hesitation. Slight ticking sound from motor when at idle. oil changes always before time. found dirty air cleaner, didn't fix problem. replacing and paying is getting costly. any hints?
