There was a considerable amount of clunking when steering the vehicle and when making sharp turns tires would squeal even on normal asphalt. Fortunately for me the car still had warranty left on it from the previous owner so it only cost me $100 to fix a $400 problem. After doing some research on this issue, there seems to have been a recall on this particular part if it was replaced before.
