The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The contact stated that when pulling off from a stationary position the vehicle will drag and then jerk forward like you have been hit from behind. The dealer has not been able to find out what is causing the problem even though they have seen the problem on other vehicles. The problem does not happen while driving; this is a failure that only occurs youre pulling off from a stand still position. The VIN number was not available at the time of the complaint.the failure mileage was 34000 and the current failure 41000.rl

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While driving 35 mph, the contact heard a loud snap similar to the sound of a rubber band. The vehicle then lost all power and shut off on its own. The contact managed to pull off the road. A diagnostic indicated that the transmission lines had ruptured. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic at the pit stop and it was confirmed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 84,569 and current mileage was 104,000.
