Monte Carlo 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 134,000 miles

Can’t read water level or oil level - it's definitely annoying.

Monte Carlo V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

First it started with the speed od. now all gauges malfunction. This is very annoying I have to reset the mileage every time I refuel to know how much gas I have.

problem #2

Monte Carlo SS 6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

Looking for a fix. A computer analysis didn't reveal the problem. Currently, while driving all gauges will suddenly turn off/deactivate, then immediately turn back on. Only recent parallel issue has been a bouncing (climbing) gas gauge that is only accurate with a full tank. This appears to be a separate issue.

The gauges turning off happened to occur while a mechanic was driving it. He had no clue. Could this be an ignition issue? Other thoughts???

Monte Carlo SS 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

I can't believe that GM won't fix this issue. After reading all the complaints about the problem you would think GM would step up to the plate and make things right. My 18 year old daughter drives the Monte Carlo....like she has $700-850 to fix the dash. GM needs to do the right thing.
