The PCM for the transmission is out or defective and from what I've researched this is a very common problem with the Monte Carlo. Chevrolet should be responsible for selling a known defective computer!

I have 2005 Monte Carlo with 85,000 miles and now the instrument panel has gone South. The speedometer is off and the temp gage is not working. I have investigated and found many people have this same problem also my transmission is starting to slip. Can you help? I will never buy another american car.
