Monte Carlo LT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

Engine hot A/C Off - Replacing the thermostats won't help (did that 5x's). Replaced intake manifold gaskets (upper & lower) & head gasket since don't want to do that later, as intake manifold would have to come apart again. Problem solved. Lots of money spent. $800 was for parts only, as I had a friend do the repair.

Monte Carlo LT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 41,700 miles

Head gasket is leaking oil badly at 41,700 miles with a cost to repair over $1,500. This is completely unacceptable, no car should have a head gasket leaking oil at this mileage and of course it is just out of warranty.
