Ok, I've seen a few people get aggravated about the windshield wipers. Lets put an end to the madness. I bought my truck used at 107,000 miles. The next day after buying it, it rained and I turned on my wipers and they worked for about a minute and then quit working. It seemed that every time my wipers started getting wet, they would stop working. But as long as it was dry, it worked fine. Kinda defeats the purpose. I took it back to the dealer and they apologized. They looked into the problem and they said they had to replace the "computer board" for the wipers. They only had my truck for a couple of hours and they were done. No problems out of the wipers since. I have to admit I'm pretty satisfied with my truck. I've had it for 4 years now and it's at 183,000 miles. I've had the knobs break off the seat adjusters, the plastic vent handles break, and my down pipe on my exhaust go out. To be honest. That's pretty normal on a vehicle that old and with that many miles. I feel like I can always rely on my truck. I have to buy another vehicle now cause I have a family and we wont fit in the truck, however, I told my fiance, "We can get a new vehicle, but the truck, she's a stayin'."

I changed the windshield wiper motor myself and was able to make it work. The windshield wipers are still working on my truck. It now has 128,000 miles.

It's been raining a lot and this problem has caused me issues of near accidents. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't work at all. I have absolutely no control over it. This definitely needs to be recalled by the company before it causes a severe accident!

Most of the time they are fine, but some days the windshield wipers do not come on at all. Even turning the truck off and back on doesn't help. The next day they may start working fine again, you just never know and usually don't find out until it's already raining and your wipers won't work! In Arizona the rain can come down pretty heavy.

this is a safey related item that GM should belly up to, could cause a severe accident when they quit intermittantly

The Wiper Motor Pulse Board is available at Autozone in the "Help!" section. I bought one for $30 and replaced it in about 5 minutes using a phillips head screwdriver. They had recalled some of the models, but didn't cover all of the years that they used this board in.
