The driver's seat adjustment failed so the seat will not lock in place and unless I clamp it in place it slides back and forth which makes it dangerous to drive. I have 200K miles on the truck but that should have nothing to do with the seat rails breaking. I am really the only person who drives the truck so it is not like the seat gets moved a lot. My wife hardly ever drives it since she has a work car. The dealer first told me it would cost $900 to replace the rals and then said $600 and that is way out of line. I have owned a lot of vehicles and never had an interior part like the seat go bad. It is a manual seat - not automatic!! The dealer mentioned the mileage which is ridiculous - if it was an engine part I'd understand but this is not a working part - its a seat!! A seat that hardly ever gets adjusted! Then another employee suggested that it probably failed because it didn't get adjusted enough! They said it froze in place and busted because the "lubricant" would not have kept it from breaking. What garbage - whoever heard of lubricating your car seat?? I want to see that in print in the owner's manual!! No more Chevy's for me - I also had the fuel tank problem which cost a lot to fix.
