problem #1

Aug 292009

Silverado LS 4.8L V8

  • Manual transmission
  • 130,000 miles

Last Saturday, I lost the same assembly while activating the clutch under normal driving conditions.

The original owner had to replace the clutch pedal assembly some years back.

I found the disassembled clutch master cylinder assembly lying loose under my hood and the cylinder rod still attached to the clutch pedal.

Was stuck in traffic and spent hours designing and installing a temporary metal bracket to hold clutch master cylinder in place to make it all the way home.

I am looking for an alternate metal assembly to replace the original plastic clutch bracket/pedal, GM P/N 15027983.
