The fuel gauge indicator is showing incorrect readings. Consumer states as a result vehicle ran out of gas. Consumer feel this could be dangerous if stranded. Took to dealer and they replaced the fuel sending unit.

Consumer can fll gas tank competley up, and before leaving pump, gas gauge fails to give proper indication of gas in tank. Engine goes back to empty. Consumer has gotten a few reason as to what could cause gas gauge not to give correct indication. Dealer believes it may cbe related to a computer glitch that causes malfunction.
