Silverado LX 5.3 L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Second time driver side window got sluggish when trying to close. Opens quickly and easily, but will not go back up. Purchased new window mechanism and motor and replaced. Works good for a while.

Silverado LX 5.3 L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 158,000 miles

Third time, this is a real pain in the ass. The window is working fine, then all of a sudden it gets sluggish when closing and takes forever to come up. Sometimes you have to pull on it to get it up, then the next day it works fine. I have talked to other Silverado owners who have had this same issue.

Silverado LS V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,000 miles

I had this problem fixed last year and now it's happening again. I've talked with other Silverado owners and they've had the same problem. I had someone from a Chevrolet dealer tell me that the problem is with the kit that is used. They said Chevrolet knows about the problem, but won't do anything about it.
