problem #2

Silverado LS 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I bought this vehicle new in 2000 and after about 60,000 miles, the fuel pump developed a whining noise and the fuel gauge would sporadically work. This whining persisted for years and at about 130,000 miles the fuel pump finally quit working. The entire fuel pump assembly was replaced and thus fixed the problems mentioned above. Now the only problems I have to deal with are the engine knocking when cold and broken gears in the transmission.

I have had the this truck in the shop numerous amounts of time it runs like sh*t. I had a fuel pump put on cause the other one was whinning and low pressure. They replace it and the fuel filter, 200 miles down the road the same thing, They refuse to replace it since it has pressure, they say they are supposed to squeal and whine like that!
