Silverado 2500HD 6.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,000 miles

Rear axle seals let go as I was towing a skidsteer loader. luckily I was almost home, dropped the equipment off, and took it to the dealer down the street, They had it for about 2 days. gave me rental truck in the mean time, so it wasn't too bad. Im up to 140K now and haven't had a problem since on this particular complaint.

the axle started leaking at 18000 miles. i took it in and they fixed it under warranty. now at 50000 miles its leaking again and they refuse to fix it again. i dont feel axles should be leaking with only 50000 miles especially since it was repaired once. i have always been a ford man and this is my first chevy. i have had several problems with this truck and the dealer and will never buy another. i have a business and own 27 trucks and thankfully they are all ford and will stay that way. i have recently replace one truck with another ford.
