Silverado LT 6.0L

1st let me say I love my truck, I've owned it almost 7 years & this is the only problem that I've had. It won't do anything when I turn the key but this time it started after about 10-15 times turning ignition on & off but all gauges were flashing or not working at all. this happened a couple of times before & my mechanic said it had so many codes that he couldn't tell what it was. we decided to replace the ignition switch. thought problem solved until today 12-25-16. I'm taking it back to my mechanic on Tuesday I'm afraid its the computer' PLEASE HELP IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS!

Silverado 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 153,000 miles

When I crank the truck, it immediately dies. It only stays running a couple seconds...just long enough to rev it up one time. For the short time it runs, none of the gauges work. It happened Once before, about 2 months ago. But after it sat for about 20 minutes, it started and ran fine until yesterday. This time it wouldn't start though. So I had to put it on a wrecker and send it to the dealership. The mechanic called me today and said he put it on the diagnostic machine and it said nothing was wrong with the truck! And I said..."Did you try to crank the truck?" He said "yeah and it didn't run 10 seconds"! OMG!!! ANYWAYS!! Is anyone else having this problem?

Silverado LT 5.3L V8

It would seem like it cranked for longer then it should before starting. They put in new injectors newer style like the 2008 ones and haven't had a problem since.
