problem #2

Dec 262014

Silverado 4.81 V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

My husband and I bought this truck used back in Dec. of 2014 and everything seemed to be fine until we had other passengers in our vehicle and they started complaining about having trouble latching the seat belt on passenger side. At first I thought it was just them, but it started to become more frequent and now, jus,t recently I started to have issues with the driver's side seat belt not latching or it would latch and as I am driving the seat belt would come unlatched.

I do not feel that this is very safe because you think you are latched in and suddenly you have to brake quickly and your seat belt could come unlatched, you or your passengers are injured. I feel this is a serious issue in the safety of people. I think this problem should be addressed immediately.

Silverado LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

We bought the truck in March 2013 and shortly after that noticed the seat belts didn't latch properly. When trying to buckle up you have to shove it in the buckle several times to finally get it to latch. And once it does we have to be sure that it actually latched well because there has been so many times that we're driving down the road and notice the seat belt isn't plugged in all the way! How is there not a recall on this truck?! This isn't even though only problem but definitely a safety problem! All the seat belts in this truck are like this!
