problem #1

Feb 182008

Silverado 1500 5.3L Flexfuel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,000 miles

I was changing my oil when i noticed a transmission leak.(red fluid on/around transmission pan).took it in to Chevy dealer. they had to pull the transmission to find out where leak was coming from. the trans pump seal was leaking which caused low trans oil which cause tranns to burn 2-4 band/bearings/piston/bushing. now i have a rebuild tranns in my new truck. Chevy has got some problems with these trucks. I have had truck for 6 months and have 9000 mile and have had the steering pump/fuel pump/throttle body/and tranns rebuild due to faulty tranns pump seal. I have not pulled any trailers and use this truck to drive back and forth to work. 28,000 truck should not have problems like this. just for your info this is 07 1500 LT ext cab Texas edition
