Silverado 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 132,000 miles

Had to replace all 4 door lock assemblies at on time.3 of the 4did not work and the 4th was intermittenly not working. When the doors don't lock the Alarm does not arm and nothing in the vehicle is secure.

Silverado 1500 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,100 miles

I have owned my 200, Chevy Silverado since it was new. The drivers side front door and rear door actuators failed while the truck was still under warranty. Now the passenger side door lock actuator has failed and the truck is no longer under warranty. I cannot afford to fix it and am just waiting for the passenger side rear door actuator to go. Very cheap parts and made to fail. My last Silverado had no problems with their actuators. Where is Chevrolet getting the original equipment actuators, in China.
