Silverado 1500

My towing hitch/receiver broke while towing a trailer and turning a corner at 10 mph, 2 blocks from my house. The drivers side of the hitch was so badly rusted, it broke, the passenger side was strong enough that my trailer stayed behind my 2 wd truck and no one was injured. This incident could have hurt someone had I been going faster in traffic when it broke. Now, after this happened, I learned that the 2002 trucks have had this issue for some time!
