Silverado 1500 4.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

The Low Fuel Light turns on and off intermittently. When the light turns on, the Fuel Level Gauge will drop all the way to Empty. When the light turns off, the gauge will jump up to the approximate level. This happens at very random times, both while driving and at a stand-still, and regardless of actual fuel level. I use the Trip Meter to guesstimate when I need to fuel up. Very annoying to say the least.
