Silverado 1500 4.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 92,000 miles

This truck will shake you off the road between 60-80 MPH. Seems to be a common problem called the "Chevy Shake" that GM knew about from the beginning but refuses to fix.

problem #2

Silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

Bought my 2015 Silverado with 30,000 mi, during test drive I noticed a "shudder" or "vibration" when motor shifts into V4 mode at about 1200 rpm when I just barely push gas pedal. Goes away when I step on it and when in V8 mode. 90% of my driving is around 35 mph so I am barely on the gas and have to deal with the shake and vibration. Brought it to dealer who told me "sorry cant do anything about it" Chevy is aware but they don't have a remedy. WTF? Really? Their remedy was to drive in "manual 5" which does seem to correct the problem but doesn't seem like a trustworthy solution, not to mention the reduced gas mileage etc... Not real happy with the issue or the solution.

Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L

I have a severe vibration when I hit about 65 MPH , the first time I pulled off the interstate it was so bad , t thought I was losing a tire and so I torked the tires , it was a wee bit better but still their . I took in to dealer and did a test drive and he said tires out of balance so I spent about $52.00 getting that done did not fix it , stopped back at dealer and complained again he said has about 3 other Silverado doing the same thing . I jack the truck up and ran it up to about 70 MPH and wow one heck of vibration , the tires were running smooth as could be .

Now here is the kicker this spring I was pulling into my parking space and put in reverse and clunk , I thought what the heck I do not hit anything so I put in drive and clunk again , I was locked up , put in park and got out and walked around the truck , got back in and looked at the gauges and lights and the 4x4 light was not on so I put it down on 2 w drive and everything was ok . The next day stopped at dealer and they said there was a update and it did not work on some trucks so after 20 minutes in shop was supposly fixed , well I have one hell of a vibration and i'm afraid the dam thing could lock up going 70 MPH down the interstate. note I golf with a guy that has a 2014 and his more or less does the same thing
