Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 84,028 miles

I have a 2017 Silverado with 84,853 miles on it. I keep getting a hard acceleration backfire or pop when driving at over 3000 rpm's. I have taken to multiple shops had the exhaust checked and there are no leaks. The vehicle has new plugs and wires NO check engine light NO miss No rough idle nothing runs smooth as can be. The vehicle is well maintained oil changes around 20 percent. I have had 3 diagnostics done and all 3 shops drove it heard the backfire and they still cant figure it out. When the vehicle backfires there is NO loss of power or sluggishness or anything. I have talked to the dealer and they don't know either all they can say is lean or rich air/fuel mixture. GM needs to step up my uncle works for gm in Michigan and he says gm has cut corners on their vehicles for a few years now. I think gm has lost a customer after this. My transmission went out at 62,000 miles because of the torque convertor and gm would not cover the transmission luckily I had an aftermarket warranty to cover it. The vehicle does not backfire on take off only higher rpm's.
