noise at start up

This is outrageous, I have to replace the engine and I'm not covered under warranty, due to warranty expired few months prior the problem. I never thought the would happen specifically, truck seems in excellent conditions.

Majority on highway driving, no towing or abuse, number 8 cylinder is dead, loud noise as well. Garage quoted $10,000 to replace, on a waiting list for a new engine from Jasper.

Makes rattle noise for a second or two during cold starts. Noticed it at temps around 30 degrees or colder. The noise is a rattle like excessive bearing clearance and goes away as oil pressure comes up. I suspect oil drain back or an internal oil leak at a gasket. Has happened about 5 times in 20,000 miles. Maybe it could be the engine needs to crank a few more times to get oil pressure up before engine starts in cold weather. Can't say if it has happened more times as sometimes I am too far from the truck while starting it.

Maybe a coincidence that I had a 2014 Silverado with 5.3 with a US motor that did not make this noise, while the 2017 truck with the same motor but from Mexico make this noise. Since I cannot let the motor turn over longer before starting to possibly bring oil pressure up before start up, it would be up to the manufacturer to address the problem. Hoping there is a recall to fix this with either a "we found it" or a program change for engine start up parameters.

Yet another potential problem with my new truck. This noise only occurs on cold startup. The day I took this video it was around 30 degrees. I don't recall it doing this when it was warmer in the fall. Sounds like lifters or something up top. Crank bearings would be deeper sounding I guess. 5000 miles on it. It makes more friggen noises than my Suburban with 140,000 on it.
