The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact attempted to place the clutch pedal in first gear when it remained on the floor and did not release. He also noticed that the pedal detached from the vehicle, causing the slave cylinder to fracture. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who inspected the vehicle and repaired the clutch pedal, clutch, and slave cylinder. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The current mileage was 89,000. The approximate failure mileage was 86,630.
