Silverado 2500 LT 6.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

I bought this truck new and its been a good truck for the most part. This time, it's the Instrument Cluster. First, it started with the alternator gauge reading 24 or more volts when the engine is running, 19 volts with the engine stopped. Next I noticed the engine temp gauge reading lower than normal and suspected a bad thermostat. I decided to wait on that because it's more than likely the gauge itself. Now, a week later, the Tachometer is reading 100 rpms with the engine is idling and 1,000 rpms at 60 mph. I've always been suspicious of the oil pressure gauge reading low, but blew it off because it's always over 60 psi when the engine is cold.
