Have been trying to locate a TCM (Transmission Control Module) for this vehicle since March 2023. No Chevrolet dealers have this part and cannot give me an estimate of when it will be available. I have searched over 20 parts dealers and they cannot locate this part.
This is an electronic control module that controls the Allison transmission. It clunks when shifting to 2nd and Rev. It doesn't shift out of 2nd at over 30 mph. grinding sounds at times. Loss of shift indicators at times.
This control module was used in years 2009 through 2015 for both Chevrolet and GMC 2500 trucks.
From my research I have found that this part from GM usually fails between 100K and 110K miles on all these trucks.
Even though my truck is 2011, GM should make this part available or have a replacement for this part.
Without a new TCM or remanufactured TCM this makes my truck worthless.
