While traveling down to a firefighter exam in PA there was an ice storm causing the windshield to freeze-up blocking my view. I had the heater on full blast with partial venting to the feet so I wouldn't get frostbite. Even turning all the flow to the defrost vents it wasn't enough to clear the windshield. I had to pull over and scrap the ice off. I started going again and it would freeze up in the driver side bottom corner every time. While looking at other brands of vehicles I notice the vents are way too far from the corners which are causing not enough heat to get into the corners. I mentioned it to the dealership and they said they never heard anything like it. I am deeply pissed at gm for taking the bailout and hiring s*** engineers to design the new stuff. It should be that you have to spend 25 yrs as a mechanic before even doing anything engineering-wise.
