So, here we go again. I bought this unit new. The first day took it back for steering issue. The dealer didn't have alignment shop so took to out side vendor. They fixed sure called it a wheel alignment. A couple months later same issue too much play in the steering wheel, and had dealer drive it, who said it was fine. I disagree but dealt with it. Later same year 2016 had another "wheel alignment" fixed the problem. Repeat 2017. 2018 moved to new state and took to local dealer - had another "wheel alignment" fixed the problem. Did they? Oh hell no!!
Now come this week September 2019 near miss accident on free way doing 70 MPH and truck decides it doesn't want to stay in its lane during a major storm. Sure weather could be a factor, hydro plan maybe, but the reality is the steering went out nearly costing me injury. Took to dealer same day. Claimed to have a fix. 42392 miles on $50,000 truck and it doesn't steer. Come on GM. Where is the recall?
Check steering is loose REF Bulletin #18-NA-280 Loose pitman arm Bolt.
Confirmed issue inspected and found loosed pitman are nut on thread and retorqued with LOCTITE.
