The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated the ABS pump and the PCM module were going bad. This problem was displayed in 1999 Silverado's. the problem was, the ABS pump continued to run after the vehicle was turned off. (the ABS was inoperative) GM representative stated there was no recall, but an upgraded part and the consumer paid for the repair.

When releasing accelerator pedal vehicle will not slow down and it will maintain speed. Dealer has attempted to fix defect, but was not able to. Presently, dealer claimed it was normal characteristic. PCM failure cause the vehicle not to slow down when accelerator is released.
