The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated after receiving a recall repairs for the blower resistor, the blower failed and as a result the wiring harness and control module started to melt down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure which was directly related to the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to pay half of the repair cost. The VIN was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 80,000 and the current mileage was 112,000.
