- the contact explained that last winter she was driving in her 2005 Chevrolet Silverado when suddenly the driver's window exploded, almost causing a crash. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer sent consumer to a glass repair shop where the glass was replaced. The consumer had to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Yesterday the truck was parked in the driveway. No one was in the truck. The consumer went outside and the driver's side window exploded again. The glass was replaced for a second time and the consumer had to pay again. The consumer is requesting an explanation as to what was causing this failure. No one at the dealer knew why this happened. The consumer felt that the dealer should pay for the repairs and attempt to find the cause of the failures. Updated 2/22/2007 -
