The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500. While driving approximately 75 mph, the contact heard a popping sound while turning the steering wheel and an abnormal grinding sound while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front driver side hub was replaced. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. While driving 50 mph he heard a grinding sound from the front-end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and he was advised that the hub and bearing assembly failed. The vehicle was repaired at an expense of $432.41. The failure mileage was 48985. The current mileage was 49000. Updated 01/29/10. The consumer stated when the grinding started, the vehicle pulled to the right. Also, the ABS activated under normal driving conditions.
