Takata recall: There is a recall for 2014-15 Silverado (recal # 14V301000). I am having the exact same issues. I have had the truck about a year, 2nd owner, bought it at 30K miles.on Nov. 25 I came out to start my start my truck and I immediately couldn't power up stereo and then I noticed I have no door chime for open door, no chime for key in ignition and no chime for my seatbelt. My turn signal indicator no longer lets me know when it is on. My key fob will not operate keyless start. I believe my vehicle could easily be included in recall. I'm sure there werent many because most dealerships are not giving any signs that they have dealt with this issue. I have all good fuses in both boxes too. The 1 dealership jumped right to replacing stereo for a $1000. Now I just dont have that kind of money nor can I afford to be coming in and out of dealership trying to figure this out. Somebody knows what it is and their not sharing that info. Can you help mefigure out what to do next.I have no audible indicator letting me know door is open while key is in ignition and audible indicator letting me know if seatbelt is buckled and I am a over the road carrier and spend alot of time in my truck. Thank you

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that has approximately 44,000 miles on it and is garage kept. I have several cracks around my passenger side airbag which could pose a safety issue even though GM said the cracks will not.

I was driving into the parking garage at work to a parking spot. As I braked and slowed turning into the parking spot the truck accelerated and crashed into a concrete support beam. Airbags deployed and the truck suffered quite a bit of damages to the passenger side front end. I am unsure of speed at time of accident.

First I went to open my front passenger door from the outside and the chrome door handle came off the truck in my hand. Approximately a week later, the driver door handle also came off in my hand as well. Both instances rendered the door inoperable from the outside of the vehicle.
