How does a clutch just disappear off of an AC compressor? On Saturday the AC worked fine, Sunday morning it was blowing warm. I went to add a can of freon to it but it pegged out in the red section of the gauge; that means take it to a mechanic to check it out. I have a home mechanic who wants $600 to put a whole new AC compressor in it. This is one of over 20 things that have gone wrong with this piece of junk. It has been in the shop over 6 times since January. Once a month. Always something new wrong with it. I have replaced over 80% of what's under the hood, but somehow it finds yet another thing to fail. Sick of it. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
