problem #2

Sonic LS 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,111 miles

Driver's side door - the little button/stick that locks and unlocks the door (not the door lock/unlock button on the dash) has a small plastic piece that surrounds the little stick. That plastic housing piece keeps falling out. Sometimes after putting the car in park (which automatically electronically unlocks the doors), and the little stick moves up to the unlocked position, the little plastic housing doodad will raise up partially. Other times it will fling the doodad completely out, and it ends up falling to the floor in the narrow space between the door and seat, which can be annoying to hunt down.

I have considered just throwing the dang housing piece away, but the door looks bad without it, so I just keep sticking it back on. I have considered using some Krazy Glue, but was concerned if I used too much it might affect the lock mechanism itself and result in costly repairs. So I just live with it - a minor annoyance.

Everything inside the car is crap. Made with crappy materials and put together like crap. Breaking, peeling, and falling apart.
