Sonic LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

I bought this car brand new in 2012 as to the other vehicle I drive was getting up in miles and age. I bought it so it would not leave me stranded far from home on my travels. It has been nothing but problems and every couple months I am at the service station for one thing or another. Yep it left me stranded! Dead battery, flashing of head lights and inside lights and dash board. Clicking upon turning key over. Would not start to save a life. (Situation: Return trip from Hospital with sick child in car waiting on prescription to be filled) Received a jump from a police officer (at least he had a charger). Got home and discovered that the radio had the reset date January 1, 2011. Now has been dropped off at dealership/shop (where I bought it) to get it fixed. Still can't figure out noises from over year ago to get fixed: front passenger area.

Sonic LTZ 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 43,000 miles

A reasonable time period for a new car battery should be at least 3-5yrs. With less than 2yrs on the battery it should be covered under extended warranty or at least prorated.
